Who We Are

We are a group of music lovers with well over 150 years of combined experience in the music business. We found a home for our 14 vinyl presses with a top pressing plant in Europe which has given us the opportunity to manufacture having all production aspects in-house. Along with vinyl record pressing we also manufacture CD, Cassette, DVD/Blu-ray, and print media like custom boxes, books, magazines, and graphic novels. Pressing Business is focused on delivering the quality products you want, in whatever format they are.

Andy Zicklin - Co-Founder

Andrew was part of the San Francisco punk scene from 1981 through 1989, working at the Chatterbox, DNA Lounge, Paradise Lounge, Wolfgangs, and other Bill Graham venues. He also worked at KUSF and KQAK radio. In 1995, he joined Smith Barney. As his career grew, he worked at Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank as a Wealth Advisor. After leaving Deutsche Bank in 2010, he moved his family to Barcelona, Spain. When they moved back to the USA, he started Zicklin Management Group, working with accredited investors who want to participate in late stage private equity investments. Zicklin Management has grown into Market Central Private Assets. For fun, Andrew also hosts a radio show on KGNU in Colorado and travels around the country on his motorcycle, photographing small towns and abandoned America. He has shown his photography in Denver, San Francisco and Barcelona. Most recently Andy was the CEO of Amazing Radio USA, where he helped launch the Amazing Radio brand in the United States. Jeff Grabow -Sales and Marketing

Jeff started his music career at the legendary King Karol record store in New York City and graduated to sales and marketing positions at WEA, Virgin Records America, Restless Records, Artist Direct, and Caroline Distribution. Along the way, Jeff managed Johnny Thunders and consulted artists as diverse as Pat Boone and Taylor Swift. Jeff currently lives in Sin City USA, Las Vegas, Nevada. (email Jeff)

Geza X - Project Manager

Geza X Gedeon is a veteran record producer and a pioneer of the DIY "Indie" recording movement with over 40 years of experience documenting folk and pop culture. Renowned for capturing the 1977 Punk Rock explosion, he produced seminal recordings for legendary bands like the Dead Kennedys and Black Flag and is credited with inventing the ubiquitous headphone microphone. While deeply rooted in the underground, Gedeon achieved massive mainstream success producing Meredith Brooks' double-platinum, #1 Billboard hit "Bitch." A former UCLA instructor and contributor to SPIN and LA Weekly, he currently heads Geza X Records and the nonprofit HyperActivists™, where he is developing a 12-part documentary series on the origins of California Punk Rock. Presently he is the Product Manager at Flatiron Music Services.  He enjoys his guitar and synthesizer collection and will be a weirdo punk for life. (email Geza)

Larva X - Project Manager

Larva X is a multidisciplinary artist and production executive whose career spans the worlds of high fashion, fine art photography, and music. With a foundation built in dance, modeling, and fashion, Larva first made her mark in the industry through her work with avant-garde designer Jared Gold, where she gained invaluable experience in fashion production and runway execution.Collaborating with legends such as Annie Leibovitz, Herb Ritts, Lucien Clergue, and Kim Weston (Edward Weston’s grandson), Larva traveled the globe, contributing to the creation of timeless photographic art.Larva found a new calling in music video production after being tapped by Josie Cotton to produce her visual projects. Today, Larva serves as the Vice President of Geza X Records and the Production Manager for Flatiron Music Services.Larva is an avid traveler, a dedicated cinephile, and a listener with a broad, eclectic musical palate. Bill Hein - Co-Founder & CEO

Bill co-founded the Greenworld vinyl album import and distribution company and the Enigma Records and Restless Records labels signing Poison, Motley Crue, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Berlin, Stryper, Flaming Lips and many more notable artists. Restless was a founding partner in the Alternative Distribution Alliance joint venture with Interscope, Sub Pop, Atlantic Records, and Warner Music Group. Bill also managed the Rykodisc and Caroline/Astralwerks labels. Bill lives in Boulder, Colorado where he enjoys cycling, exploring Rocky Mountain ghost towns, and, of course, listening to vinyl. Fred Goldring - Co-Founder & Legal

As a founding partner of the prominent Beverly Hills law firm Goldring, Hertz, & Lichtenstein LLP for 21 years, Fred represented many of the most important and biggest selling recording and performing artists in the world and was critical in the signing of many of his firm’s clients’ original record, television, film and brand deals, and helping many of his clients them to make the significant leap into other areas of the entertainment business. Fred has been widely recognized as being amongst the first people in the music industry to recognize, evangelize and embrace the seismic technological shift that became the digital music revolution. He is an Emmy, Clio and NAACP Image Award-winning Executive Producer (with will.i.am) of the iconic Yes We Can music video. Fred is also an accomplished musician and played guitar and sang back-up vocals as a member of New Radicals during President Biden’s Inauguration ceremonies on January 20, 2021.(email Fred)

Our Quality

The PB manufacturing plant in Europe has carefully maintained & expertly operated presses from Phoenix Alpha, Alpha Toolex, and Newbilt.

Our standard weight vinyl is 140g, with the ability to press 180g and even 200g, in all colors and effects.

Looking to press color vinyl? Multiple colors? Swirl vinyl? Something custom you dreamed up? No problem. Reach out and we will get things rolling.

We print our own packaging & inserts in-house, you don’t have to deal with a separate printer. This is a great advantage if you want to do a boxset or some truly custom packaging made. Everything we do is in-house.

Towards our belief in delivering the highest quality, we almost exclusively cut Lacquers rather than DMM. Though this does have slightly higher initial costs compared to DMM, we feel the processes involved with using lacquers offers a better sounding record. This sentiment is well debated and will continue to be, however as it is our belief based on our own testing, Lacquers is our preferred master cutting substrate.

A benefit to our preference for Lacquers over DMM, you will never run into a situation where we won’t be able to have metalwork sent to another plant for you to press somewhere else if you wanted (though this isn’t likely IMO).
