Who We Are
We are a group of music lovers with well over 150 years of combined experience in the music business. We found a home for our 14 vinyl presses with a top pressing plant in Europe which has given us the opportunity to manufacture having all production aspects in-house. Along with vinyl record pressing we also manufacture CD, Cassette, DVD/Blu-ray, and print media like custom boxes, books, magazines, and graphic novels. Pressing Business is focused on delivering the quality products you want, in whatever format they are.

Bob Schmidt - Operations Manager
Bob Schmidt understands both sides of the record, so to speak. Having only recently retired from road-life, as a twenty-five-year veteran recording and touring musician, producer and composer, he recognizes quality when it comes to vinyl. His life-long love of vinyl certainly predates his own career, when as a youngster he purchased his first album - The Who’s Who Are You. His dedication to the cause is clear; to make sure that artists find the highest quality and truest craftsmanship when partnering with a company to produce their album on vinyl. Bob believes that each album should stand as a unique work of art, both visually as well as sonically. Knowing this process from the viewpoint of the artist as well as the manufacturer enables Bob to co-create long lasting and satisfying relationships with the artists and their representatives who find their way to Pressing Business. He honed his eye for detail through work as an artist, fine art framer, and conservator, and developed a keen ear as a musician, record label owner, and venue manager. Combining his diverse experience, Travis dove into the world of manufacturing vinyl records and cassettes, founding his own manufacturing and brokerage company, Actually Pressing. Merging his passion for vinyl records and art, Actually Pressing evolved into vinyl customization, producing liquid and object-filled records. Bringing his extensive background in physical media manufacturing and industry experience, Travis has joined the team at Pressing Business. (email Travis)

Our Quality
The PB manufacturing plant in Europe has carefully maintained & expertly operated presses from Phoenix Alpha, Alpha Toolex, and Newbilt.
Our standard weight vinyl is 140g, with the ability to press 180g and even 200g, in all colors and effects.
Looking to press color vinyl? Multiple colors? Swirl vinyl? Something custom you dreamed up? No problem. Reach out and we will get things rolling.
We print our own packaging & inserts in-house, you don’t have to deal with a separate printer. This is a great advantage if you want to do a boxset or some truly custom packaging made. Everything we do is in-house.
Towards our belief in delivering the highest quality, we almost exclusively cut Lacquers rather than DMM. Though this does have slightly higher initial costs compared to DMM, we feel the processes involved with using lacquers offers a better sounding record. This sentiment is well debated and will continue to be, however as it is our belief based on our own testing, Lacquers is our preferred master cutting substrate.
A benefit to our preference for Lacquers over DMM, you will never run into a situation where we won’t be able to have metalwork sent to another plant for you to press somewhere else if you wanted (though this isn’t likely IMO).
If you can dream it, we can make it real!
